• Heli-expo 2012

• Dubai Airshow, 2011 edition

• Dragonfly is coming into service

  SICMA Aero Seat has just sold its latest product: Dragonfly.
  
  This has been done with the airline Air Austral to equip their 2 A380 aircrafts for flights between Paris and Reunion Island.
  
  What is the Dragonfly?
  
  Dragonfly is a short-haul economy seat weighting just 7.5kg (16.53 lbs) per pax. With 2kg less than the competition, it’s currently the lightest seat on the market. This seat doesn’t limit itself at its weight as also 85% of its components are recyclable.
  
  Designed and ergonomic, the seat also features short armrests, a very slim backrest and uses 30% fewer components that its Y/C predecessor.
  
  Why the Dragonfly?

  First of all, SICMA has designed a seat dedicated to the narrow-body aircraft segment. However, the airlines strategies allow us to expand our segment, as with Air Austral on regular and long-haul flights.
  
  The Dragonfly, with its many advantages offers us a promising future.
   

• A new identity

  Following the amendment of ZODIAC Aerospace image in 2009, SICMA renewed.

  New visual identity, new signature: we have modernized our web site design. The implementation of this new graphic is done simultaneously in all Zodiac Aerospace subsidiaries and continue to create a group identity.
   

• SiT (made in SICMA) is coming into service.

  2010-11-30

  Sicma Aero Seat has just delivered its lasted product: SiT (Seat integrated Technology) Video.
  This has been done with the airline ROYAL JORDANIAN who has challenged our company to equip their retrofit aircrafts A340 for the business and economic class seats.
  The 1st flight, done on the 2nd of November 2010, was a success. All the passengers were able to access to the complete set of programs (movies, music, games, etc.) without any difficulties. What is SiT ?
  It’s an electronic system putting together actuator functions for seat and IFE (in flight entertainment system). It allows to each passenger to have an access to performing IFE (equivalent to a computer) and to have a maximum of comfort on the seat actuation. The customer has the opportunity to choose either the SiT comfort (actuation) or the SiT video or both!
  For the airline, this represents as well, an important weight saving, cable simplification and an easier maintenance. Last minute : an agreement has just been signed with Airbus allowing SICMA to propose the SiT to any airlines willing to be equipped with new Airbus aircraft (linefit). Important advantage for this product future.
