Our latest economic seat, the "Dragonfly", developed mainly for short-haul flights but also for potential other aircrafts, was presented for the first time in public during the 2011 edition Hamburg Air show.
Today, a bit more than a year later, we can already count 6 customers for retrofit or linefit projects.
These ones represent a total of 27,038 pax to install on the following aircrafts:
A320 / A321 / A380 / B737 / B747 / B767 / B777
The first Dragonfly seats delivery has already occurred in late April 2012 after a leadtime of only 4.5 months.
The Dragonfly is no longer a simple project; it is a tangible product for which our company has implemented significant resources (human and material) to ensure its new development.
ZODIAC SEATS FRANCE, proud of its know-how!
ZODIAC SEATS FRANCE can propose to the airlines not only new seats but also complete repair and refurbishment solutions. Indeed, airlines can send back to our facilities in Issoudun, their damaged seats and our dedicated team will take care of them, making them new again within a minimum of 4-5 weeks.
With our know-how and experience, any seat parts (fabric on leather covers, foams, structure sub assemblies such as backshells, seat pans, armrests, thermoforming parts, etc.) can easily be replaced or repaired.
Recently AerCap has selected this kind of solution. After 6 years in service, AerCap has requested to have some of their seats (180) repaired at our repair station and others (180) repaired in situ at the customer’s facilities. Finally, 360 seats were refurnished in one month only. Our customer was pleased with the result and it was a challenge won by our team, ready for more similar project.
Welcome to Zodiac Seats
Zodiac Seats becomes a dedicated segment of Zodiac Aerospace group. In line with the group vision to be “a Global and Unified Team Supplying Leading Seating Solutions to the Aerospace Industry“ all the “Seats” companies will be gathered and new names will be given from September 1st.
Thus, SICMA Aero Seat becomes ZODIAC SEATS FRANCE.
In the next few months you will be able to see the different companies names through our companies visualized in our stationary, advertisements, brochures, company signs, … The new names are more than a marketing trick; Zodiac Seats would like harmonize and create new synergies. Each company has a rich know-how, skills and special abilities that the group wants to take the best.
15th of July: CORSAIR new A330 configuration 1st flight
Corsair International made its first flight from Paris to Montréal with its new A330-200 configuration.
This aircraft was “retrofitted” with Zodiac Seats; the 5751 for the economic class and the Silverwing 2 for the business class. SiT company took care of the IFE.
SICMA will also retrofit another A330-200 and 2 B747-400 as well as 2 A330-300 in linefit.

SICMA's products recognized through Cathay Pacific Award
Every year, since 1999, takes place a ceremony rewarding the best products and services you can find in the current airlines aircrafts. These awards are given by Skytrax, an independent organization without any sponsoring.
This survey is made during 10 months, through 18 millions of passengers, representing over 100 different nationalities and 200 airlines. 38 criteria are retained; they are based on the passenger experience in relation with the products and services of each airline: front-line product and service, including check-in, boarding, onboard seat comfort, cabin cleanliness, food, beverages, in-flight entertainment and staff service.
The 2012 edition has taken place at the Farnborough air show in the U.K. and SICMA’s products have been recognized through this ceremony.

The World's Best Business Class Airline 2012.
SICMA is the seat manufacturer that equips Cathay’ aircrafts A330 & B777 (see attached picture) for the business class.
“Generous living space, various storages, direct aisle access, individual privacy without compromising freedom of movement, one of the longest and widest bed” are the advantages retained by the passenger through this survey.

Customer satisfaction at SICMA Aero Seat
ANA (All Nippon Airways), airline with whom SICMA has been working for many years, has, during an official ceremony which took place on June 8th, 2012 in Issoudun, rewarded all the efforts provided by all SICMA’s teams.
Back 15 months ago, an agreement «M.O.U» (Memorandum Of Understanding) has been signed between the 2 companies, engaging SICMA in an imperative return of good performances in terms of leadtime, quality and submission of documents for seats and spares.
SICMA’s transparency, availability and reactivity in relation to ANA requests have thus contributed to these spectacular improvement for the quality of BFE Business class seats to meet ANA’s requirements.
During this ceremony, Mr SHIGENO, Deputy Director Materials Management & Spares, Engineering & Maintenance, handed over to D. BENINCA, SICMA CEO, the price of the best ANA supplier of the year.
